KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies arrested a target killer from the city’s Haidery area who confessed for more than 50 murders during interrogation including killing some of the police officers.
The alleged killer identified as Rameez Sheikh alias Faizan and has affiliations to a political party. During investigation he made many important disclosures about his past crimes and his associates. According to sources, he was a government employee and worked at the Civic Center. He owned up to the murders of many activists of banned outfits, members of political parties and also some policeman.
According to the investigation reports, he had killed two policemen in Karachi’s Haidery area in 2013 with the help of an accomplice. He also confessed to the murder of Masoodur Rahman, who was associated with a banned outfit and his four armed accomplices as well in the Orangi Town area in 2014. He also confessed to extorting money from the Clifton and Tariq Road areas in the city.
