LAHORE – Police on Friday have sent DNA samples of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Imran Babar Jamil and victimised girl to laboratory for tests in rape case.
DSP Imran was accused of raping a 15-year-old girl in Kahna area and was taken in custody yesterday. The police officer had pleaded not guilty to the crime after he was presented before judicial magistrate’s court in Model Town. The court had sent the alleged culprit on judicial remand.
Family of the alleged victim is insisting that the DSP molested the girl. Reportedly, the accused police official was seen wearing badges of an Inspector General (IG) numerous times in the past.
